Before joining EmergeLaw, Hannah practiced at Holland & Knight, a Global Top 50 law firm, where she worked alongside top-tier restructuring attorneys on high-stakes cases across the country. She gained invaluable experience handling complex insolvency matters, representing debtors, creditors, and trustees in sophisticated restructurings and litigation. Wanting to make a direct impact in her hometown of Nashville, she joined EmergeLaw to focus on helping small and mid-market businesses navigate financial challenges, maximize value, and preserve jobs.


Proven Experience in Complex Restructurings

Hannah has represented clients across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, banking and finance, real estate, and professional sports organizations. Some of her notable experience includes:


  • Representing Huntsville Memorial Hospital in its Chapter 11 case, leading efforts in associated adversary proceedings (U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas).

  • Serving as counsel to the Chapter 11 trustee in a contested bankruptcy involving multistate land disputes and corporate governance issues (U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas).

  • Assisting in the successful Chapter 11 reorganization of proton cancer therapy providers (U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee).

  • Representing Promise Healthcare Group and its affiliates, as well as the post-confirmation liquidating trust, in their Chapter 11 cases (U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware).

  • Representing HCA Healthcare in its acquisition of Trinity Regional Hospital through bankruptcy proceedings (U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas).

  • Advising an indenture trustee in the City of Chester, Pennsylvania’s Chapter 9 municipal bankruptcy case (U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania).

  • Representing an energy management conglomerate in a highly contested dispute related to the lifting of the automatic stay (U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas).

Hannah earned her J.D. from Belmont University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude, and her B.S. in Agribusiness and Law from Mississippi State University, graduating summa cum laude. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee, the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Tennessee, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She is an active member of professional organizations including the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association, and the Tennessee Lawyer’s Association for Women.
