TMA - Tennessee to Host Senior Judiciary Economist Discussing the State of the Economy and Implications for Commercial Bankruptcy Filings

The Turnaround Management Association's Tennessee chapter will sponsor a lunch and learn on May 8, 2024 entitled "State of the Economy and Implications for Commercial Bankruptcy Filings." The program will feature William T. Rule II, Ph.D., Senior Economist with the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.


The Economy and Commercial Bankruptcy Filings in Tennessee and Nationally

As an economist focused on bankruptcy trends, Dr. Rule (aka “Dr. Doom”) studies the data that drives insolvency. At this event, he will discuss the chief concerns facing the economy and their implications for commercial bankruptcy filings. He will also provide an overview of national bankruptcy filing trends (including the three Tennessee judicial districts) and a review of GDP, labor markets, inflation, and capital markets.


When - Where - Registration

The event is from 12:00 - 1:30 pm (central time) at the offices of Holland & Knight, 511 Union Street, 27th Floor, Nashville, Tennessee, and will also be simulcast via Zoom. CLE credit in Tennessee is pending.
