Honorable Marian F. Harrison Announces Retirement from U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Nashville

The Honorable Marian F. Harrison has announced her retirement effective in May of 2024 from the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville after a distinguished 25-year judicial career.


Judge Harrison received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. from the University of Georgia. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Frank Gray, Junior, Chief Judge, United States District Court, Middle District of Tennessee and was a partner at Nashville litigation law firm Willis & Knight before being appointed to the federal bench in 1999.
